About OUZERIA

Nestled in the heart of Polanco, this cozy Greek spot offers a quiet retreat from the usual city buzz. The terrace seating, tucked a bit away from the main street, provides a relaxed atmosphere where you can almost forget the busy neighborhood around you. It’s a place that attracts a diverse crowd—from solo diners grabbing a quick lunch to groups settling in for a casual dinner with shared small plates and fresh flavors.

The menu leans into traditional Greek fare with a few Mediterranean touches, focusing on generous portions of skewers, meat dishes, and light mezethes. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite during a day of shopping or lingering over a laid-back evening meal, dishes like lamb and beef kebabs, grilled seafood skewers, or crisp spinach pies offer familiar, savory comfort. The tzatziki and other dips feel fresh and complement the grilled plates well.

Beyond the food, there’s a calm, almost understated vibe here—casual enough for a solo lunch yet cozy enough for intimate dinners or small groups. The staff tends to be attentive without being intrusive, and the ambience benefits from soft background music, sometimes even live singing, adding to its local charm. It’s also a solid spot if you appreciate a good selection of drinks, from cocktails and wine to coffee and dessert.

The place is accessible and family-friendly, with seating options that accommodate varying needs, which makes it easy to visit whether you’re with friends, family, or on your own. While it sometimes attracts tourists, it doesn’t feel overrun—more like a neighborhood find for those who appreciate simple, honest Greek flavors and a relaxed dining experience in Polanco.

I was dashing back to my hotel and saw this spot. Seemed like a great place for a quick bite. I was right. There was a lady singing live and the food was great. It’s a nice spot to stop and grab food while shopping. I enjoyed the shrimp gyro..although i wish they had given more fries in the side.

Very nice spot for dinner. The outdoor seating was great and the staff was attentive. I loved the tapas selections. Our group tried the shrimp, lamb and the steak and everyone was happy. Prices were reasonable.

Genuinely Greek. You will get like in an Estiatorio in the middle of Athens. Service is amazing for such a small place. The terrace is so enjoyable and the food is spectacular, all fresh and generously served. The only annoying part is that people asking for money or selling crafts and stuff will try to reach out even from behind the plants in the terrace.

We are here for lunch yesterday and really enjoyed the food. The ambience was also nice and because it’s set back from the road a bit (at least where we sat) you could easily forget that you were in the busy, bustling Polanquito. We sat outside and it was great. The tzatziki was so fresh and delicious. We both ordered the dóner pita and really enjoyed them as well.

Fantastic atmosphere. A subtle gourmet take on Greek food. Delicious drinks, tasty appetizers & food. Presentation is rustic but very appealing. Decor is on point. Ps. Best tzatziki I’ve had since I was in Greece.
